WSCB has developed a comprehensive dataset to capture the information it needs to understand how well we are safeguarding children and young people in the Borough. This is based on a template developed in the Greater London area.

All the agencies represented on WSCB have provided data for the period 1 April 2009 – 31 March 2010.

This data is presently being studied by the Children’s Trust to inform their planning for children and young people in the Wigan Borough in the Children and Young People’s Plan 2011 - 2014. This is a good example of how the WSCB is able to influence the planning and commissioning processes in the Borough.
